Thread: Help an indecisive player out

Hey all, been playimg this game on and off since for awhile and I wanted to try something new. I have looked up and found many great builds. The problem is I can't make up my mind. I know the following. I want a build that does good damage, is survivable and something I can build upon toward an end game build. I don't want to do melee as this is my focus on my other toon. SO here's where you come in. Pick a build/weapons for me to use. I am making this toon from scratch so I would like to start with the same two weapons I will use throughout. I know there are lots of sites with great builds out there, all I want you to do is pick one for me since I can't figure it out for myself. Thanks for any assistance and for helping an indecisive player out.

So many possibilities.

Ele/Blood. One of the end-game builds has this with Short Fuse. You can EF with Exsanguinate. Range is the same for both weapons (15m).

Shotgun/pistols. Again, one of the end-game dungeon builds uses this (DA/BS). EF with Shootout.

AR/anything. AR is one of the most versatile weapons in the game. Pair this with anything you like. Go leech if you want a very survivable build that kills only a little less quickly.

Thanks for the replies as you said, there are so many possibilities, and that is/was my problem. I saw many great options.

I call that the "Deathstroke" combination. AR/Blade has many things to recommend it, and it lets you play in several different and distinct ways. OP could try that.

blade/ele is awesome for solo content, quests, scenarios. very mobile build + flicker removes nasty dots from exploding filth people and you can continue running asap.

You guys have really given me some great information. I never considered Blade/AR or Blade/Ele as a possibility but I can see the wisdom of what many of you are saying, based form your experiences. I suffered when the game first cam out with synergy and bad weapon combos. If there was a bad weapon combo or lack of synergy combo, I found it, I left the game for a long while, came back and finally decided to look at what others were doing. I found a blade/fist build that worked well for me. Then I worked on blade/blood and this is where my toon is. In making this toon, my hope was to not experience the frustration of what I went through early on. I should have recorded myself playing, it would have been a really good video for new players on what they shouldn't do.
