It's actually a very good idea for grouping outside of PvP, which is what Bloodwench specifically suggested it for.
Nice PvP-centric overreaction though.

Yes, overreaction because the idea was presented to be able to see passives of people in group with the purpose of dungeons. There was no mention of it being asked for in PvP.
Are you really that insecure in your ability to play the game that the notion of other players knowing your 'secret' builds causes you to panic?
Well, funny that you mention that, because the SAME person recently asked for me to post the actives and passives of one of my PvP healer builds under the thinly veiled disguise of "calling me out" for "obviously lying" about getting over 100k damage with Exquisite Corpse, and when I proved that yes, I did in fact manage that, and did it without showing my whole build she posts that thread in general.
You think it's insecurity, but unlike in PvE, PvPers have to actively change their builds to fit the meta of current PvP and to stay competitive. With that in mind, keeping your build relatively unknown, or having an ace in the hole provides a distinct advantage. Also, players who have refined their build over tens of thousands of fights with other players don't really want to just have some noob (to use the common colloquialism) steal their build and make it look like ass.
Also, 1v1 me any time - my rocket jump will kill you with the quickness.

A story, true one.
Early 2014. There was one extremely effective player in Fusang, who seem not to die, and s/he could wipe out all the soft target in seconds.
Me and my friend began to study this player. It was fun!
You dont see him/her loitering in Agartha, so you could not sneak near to check the gear. Not forgotting that many, me include, swap somesort of "basic gear and deck" in public places.
We started to log every fight against him/her with Effect UIs Log option, because it shows CD's etc. via "show all" option.
Then an "agent" inspect his/her gear in Fusang... and we got the glue about his/hers Deck.
Next thing was to build counter decks.
Next time we met him/her, both of us could just solo him/her.
You could literally hear or see "wtf" after death after death.
Of course I build similar Deck and gear, tweaked it a bit, and there there were... /tell's "dude share your Deck".
Its not panic, but everyone suppose to work to success, rather than "inspect" and copy.
