PvP Strategy Guide

It goes without saying that within TSW's community, enthusiasm for pvp has been limited to a relatively angry corner of the internet. The average player's perspective on pvp is "I show up, I die, it's boring, what's the point?" and I can hardly blame them - the stickied pvp guide is from 2012. How can anyone be expected to be interested?

So, with this guide, I intend to do 2 things. Firstly, I'm going to dump an immense amount of text explaining the current metagame within pvp, explaining not just what to do but why. Through this, I hope to potentially inspire more players who would have otherwise taken up pvp but simply didn't have the tools availible. I sincerely believe that when people learn just how much information they're missing behind the scenes, they (or at least a handful of them) will develop a taste for the depth and variety TSW PvP has to offer.

At the very least, with this information you might be able to make more use of your daily challenge farming.


A forewarning - this guide is going to be long. I originally intended for this to be short and sweet, but after thinking about it I decided that what people really need is the information - ALL of it. With that that in mind, please don't feel obligated to read all of this in one sitting. Good luck!

If you don't read at least the EFB post, every ounce of the information in this thread will be worthless. Before you even step foot into pvp you MUST understand how the EFB works and how to let it work for you. Be sure to type /chat join PvP, if you need more people for a match or just need general pvp help, drop a line there.
